Goal Setting – May 2010
by: Dave Ozment
Introduction
I think the picture captures the spirit of this month’s update… running along a lonely patch of highway, a good distance from the start but still a long way from the finish. I have lots of ground to cover and even some ground to make up.
How about you. Are you crushing or cursing your goals? I’ve been doing a little of both!
| Context Setting for New Readers – Welcome! On this site, I’ve invested considerable time sharing, exploring, and refining my approach to goal setting. I try to outline goals along 8 unique fronts which together help me – as I accomplish my targets – remain rounded and balanced. My eight fields of focus include:Spiritual, Financial, Career, Personal Development, Physical, Family, Social, and Household.I also layer time horizons across each category to ensure I am able execute in the moment while maintaining an alertness in the end game. For 2010, I am incorporating a new facet into my experiment in self improvement – Public Accountability – and that’s what you’ve stumbled into. Please feel free to check out any of my previous articles on this topic for additional context and exploration.

Wow, congrats on everything you’ve accomplish so far. I’ve found myself easily falling off of my goals whenever something big happens, good or bad. I’ve been thinkign of publicly posting my goals but haven’t had the courage to do so yet. Kudos.
Thats a brilliant way of going about goal setting.
Breaking it down into bitesize monthly goals.
there is a goal setting technique i have learned at a place call The School of Metaphysics. it is very practical and works very efficantly. basicly it is called “the 10 most wanted list” you write down 10 goals that you want to accomplish. at the beggining it is good to start with small physical goals. next you write down you purpose for forming the goal it is good to figure out a good spiritual purpose suchas building dicapline which develops your spiritual self. next you write down what steps you need to take to accomplish this goal. the formula is Goal + purpose+ Activity = success. after that you read your goals each day, and use strong emotions when visulizing them, create a strong picture in your mind of the goal being accomplished, even down to the smell and feel of the completed goal. what will happen, is it will take almost up to a year at first to begin to move your goals fro mthe sub conscious mind and into physical manifestation. but the more you build you mental muscels the faster they will manifest. it also helps to sometimes create a mind map of your goals with pictures from magazine pictures or something. i had gotten to the point that i could cause a goal to manifest with in 2 to 3 weeks of creating the goal. it is good to use the power of the mind to create in the physical and add to ourselfs spiritually.
You give valuable knowledge that how to set our goal I like your picture and amazing data with the help of this knowledge I also set my goal for may 2010.
