		<description>Completely agree... a legitimate business expense is a legitimate business expense... but to seek out an expense solely for the stated reason of achieving overhead is a joke.  It is sometimes amazing to hear how people react when they have it properly dissected... expense for the sake of expense is bad but expenses for the sake of growing the business is genius.

		<description>What if that overhead was more inventory?  If she were investing capital into product to allow for potential future growth, would it make sense then?  Strictly from a business standpoint, excess inventory is bad, which is why lean (Six Sigma) concepts are great ideas (in theory).

If she were just spending money for the sake of spending so that she could use that expense as a tax write-off then that would be stupid.  There are legitimate business expenses which if she were to apply this money towards, say a smart advertising campaign or upgrading obsolete equipment, would be smart business decisions.

Buying a Hummer &amp; plastering advertising all over it...not so much. :)
